Atmospheric Phase Screen Estimation with TerraSAR-X Data in Hong Kong

چکیده
The permanent scatterers (PS) technique is a powerful remote sensing technology that exploits a long series of synthetic aperture radar data for monitoring ground deformations with millimeter accuracy on a high spatial density of ground targets. One of the major limitations of this technique is due to atmospheric effects, and in particular to high Water Vapor (WV) variability. As a consequence, to successfully apply interferometric techniques, the atmospheric WV delay must be estimated and removed from radar data. On the contrary, this PS technique could be explored as a tool to study high-resolution spatial-temporal water vapor characteristics. In this work, we investigate the atmosphere effects with a series of high-resolution TerraSAR-X data and PSInSAR technique in Hong Kong. We will present some of the preliminary results as well as the discussions over the stratification and turbulence estimation.

Slope Superficial Displacement Monitoring by Small Baseline SAR Interferometry Using Data from L-band ALOS PALSAR and X-band TerraSAR: A Case Study of Hong Kong, China
Owing to the development of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) platforms, and in particular the increase in the availability of multi-source (multi-band and multi-resolution) data, it is now feasible to design a surface displacement monitoring application using multi-temporal SAR interferometry (MT-InSAR). Landslides have high socio-economic impacts in many countries because of potential...
متن کاملAtmospheric Error, Phase Trend and Decorrelation Noise in Terrasar-x Differential Interferograms
The potential of TerraSAR-X data for deformation measurements benefits from high spatial and temporal resolution and even allow detecting higher deformation gradients compared to other sensors. However, decorrelation noise from vegetation and atmospheric effects are of greater importance because of the shorter wavelength. The extent of a TerraSAR-X scene is small compared to common scale atmosp...
متن کاملThe Contribution of Ageing to Hospitalisation Days in Hong Kong: A Decomposition Analysis
Background Ageing has become a serious challenge in Hong Kong and globally. It has serious implications for health expenditure, which accounts for nearly 20% of overall government expenditure. Here we assess the contribution of ageing and related factors to hospitalisation days in Hong Kong. We used hospital discharge data from all publicly funded hospitals in Hong Kong between 2001 and 2012. ...

Introduction: To retrospectively analyze the outcome of patients who underwent Meckel’s scan in a local centre in Hong Kong over the past fifteen years. Diagnostic values in different referring indications were also reviewed. Methods: All patients who referred for Meckel’s scan in a local hospital in Hong Kong from 1/1/1996 to 31/12/2010 were identified. Patients’ demographic data, presenting ...
